Sawako Yamanaka

Sawako Yamanaka is the music teacher at Sakuragaoka Girls' High School in 'Light On' and also serves as an advisor for the Light Music Club and the Wind Music Club. She is voiced by Asami Sanada, and students often call her Little Sawako. She is a graduate of Sakuragaoka High School, and during her student days, she belonged to the heavy metal band DEATH DEVIL, known by the stage name Catherine. She played guitar and was the lead vocalist, and her guitar skills were exceptional. After becoming a teacher, she deliberately created a gentle and ladylike image to hide her passionate rock past. After being blackmailed by Ritsu Tai Naka with her dark past, she became an advisor for the Light Music Club. She is very popular at school but struggles with a lack of romantic luck. She often prepares costumes for the light music club's performances, enjoys afternoon tea time in the club, quietly protects the younger members' band dreams, and occasionally can't suppress her true nature and reveals her rock girlish side.
