Hotaru Shiomi is the lead vocalist and keyboardist of the new band millsage in BanG Dream! Project, voiced by Kousho Yakushiji. She has waist-length silver-white hair and pale purple eyes, adorned with white lily decorations, giving her a gentle and delicate appearance. She is a highly gifted musical prodigy, winning multiple piano competitions as a child and earning the title of 'Angel of the Music World.' She is kind and delicate, with a strong emotional sensitivity and an innocent innocence, coming from a wealthy family. In her youth, her outstanding talent led to jealousy and ostracism from others, leaving her with psychological trauma. She once deliberately suppressed her musical talent, fearing that her performances would cause others pain and refusing to fully showcase her talent. Though her heart was fragile and conflicted, she possessed a resilient nature. Her wish was to bring happiness to others through music. Later, accompanied by her band partners, she gradually unraveled her inner knots, confronted her musical talent, and found the meaning of her own performance.
