Miyo Takano / Takano Sanshi

Takano Sanshi is the core antagonist of Higurashi When They Cry Together, voiced by Miki Ito, whose real name is Miyoko Tanashi. He lost his parents in a car accident as a child and endured torment in an orphanage. Later, he was adopted by researcher Hifumi Takano, determined to complete his adoptive father's research on Hinamizawa syndrome. On the surface, she is a gentle and intellectual nurse at Irie Clinic, obsessed with Hinamizawa folklore, but in reality, she is the mastermind behind the Hinamizawa series of events and the great disaster. She commands the Yamadog unit in sterilization operations, repeatedly plotting the killing of Furude Rika and faking her own death to escape. She is intelligent and obsessive, spending her life wanting to prove her adoptive father's academic value, but is used as a pawn by the forces behind the scenes. In the Sacrificial Festival, her conspiracy is crushed by the main cast, leading to her own fate.
