Mion Sonozaki is the main female character in the 07th Expansion series 'Higurashi When They Cry When They Cry Loud,' voiced by Satsuki Yukino. Her real name is Shion Sonozaki, and she is the successor to the Sonozaki family of Hinamizawa Osan, serving as the class president and club president at the Hinamizawa branch school. She sports her signature light green high ponytail, is outgoing and cheerful, with a bit of an uncle vibe. She is skilled in various board games, aikido, and other skills, but is very shy and secretly has a crush on her junior, Keiichi Maehara. As a child, Tattoo Ceremony swapped identities with her twin sister, and from then on she lived as Mion. As the club leader, she often organizes various games and punishment games, with distinctly different fates in different cycle arcs, and is the central figure driving important storylines like the Continuous Flow Arc.
