Asuna Yuuki, with the in-game ID Asuna, is the heroine of Sword Art Online. She comes from a wealthy, elite family and was originally an ordinary high school girl. By chance, she gets caught up in the SAO death game and gets trapped in the virtual world. She unleashes an astonishing, high-speed combo with her sword's flickering light, earning the title "Flash" and serving as the deputy commander of the Blood Alliance Knights, making her a top frontline strategist. At first, she was focused solely on surviving through the game, but after meeting Kiritani and Hito, her feelings changed. The two fell in love and together protected the AI girl Yui. After clearing SAO, she was imprisoned in ALO but was rescued by Kirito and returned to reality. She continued participating in various VR game events, befriended the legendary sword Konno Kamenki, and inherited unique swordsmanship. Her personality is strong on the outside but gentle inside, possessing both great combat skills and gentleness and loyalty. She bravely breaks free from family constraints and always faces numerous crises side by side with Kirito.
