Misaki Shokuhou, nicknamed the Queen of Tokiwadai, is the fifth‑ranked Level 5 esper in Academy City from A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun series. This 14‑year‑old girl with long golden hair and star‑shaped golden eyes studies at Tokiwadai Middle School and leads its largest student faction. Her signature power Mental Out enables broad mental manipulation including mind‑control, memory modification, telepathy and illusion creation, and she often uses remote‑control devices to regulate her complicated psychic power. Though she acts arrogant, playful and sometimes sharp‑tongued before others, she hides inner softness and fragility beneath her queen‑like pose. Poor physical stamina keeps her weak at sports despite her outstanding psychic talent. She holds deep unspoken affection for Touma Kamijou and maintains a complex rival relationship with Mikoto Misaka, whose mind cannot be influenced by her ability.
