Below is an introduction to Kikyo
Kikyo is an important female character in the Japanese manga "Inuyasha" and its derivative works, created by Rumiko Takahashi. She was a powerful shrine maiden from the Warring States period, responsible for guarding and purifying the Shikon Jade. Kikyo was born in Kaede Village, Musashi Province, and has possessed powerful spiritual power since childhood, making it her mission to slay monsters and protect villagers. Through repeated encounters, she and the half-demon Inuyasha gradually developed feelings for each other, agreeing to use the Shikon Jewel to turn Inuyasha into a human and spend the rest of their lives together.
However, the bandit demon spider, saved by Kikyo, becomes a half-demon Naraku out of love for Kikyo and schemes to sow discord between the two. Kikyo mistakenly believes Inuyasha has betrayed him and seals him on the sacred tree, then dies from his own injuries and the Jade. Fifty years later, Kikyo was forcibly resurrected by the demon woman Rito. Initially, she harbored resentment toward Inuyasha, but after learning the truth, she let go and set out alone to defeat Naraku and purify the Shikon Jewel. After revival, Kikyo's spiritual power is powerful and she is even freer and more at will. She saved lives and healed the wounded along the way, helping Inuyasha and his group many times, and ultimately died from exhaustion in battle with Naraku. Before dying, she entrusted the Bow of Azusayama to Kagome.
